Thank you.

Nice for families or couples.

My daughter and I stayed here for two weeks. The accommodation was very good, clean and ample for our needs-twin bedroom with tv, kitchenette, en-suite and balcony, with full air-conditioning. All cleaned by staff daily. Although self-catering facilities, bar snacks were available. Staff were helpful and friendly. The medium sized swimming pool was well maintained. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the local birds who would come for a peck of whatever we were having. All excursions were easily booked from here, with collection and set-down.
Beaches, shops, churches, bars and restaurants are within a few minutes walk. The frequent local bus service also runs from approx 2 mins walk away. Bridgetown, Oistins, and other destinations are all easily reached.
I would recommend this hotel for families or couples who do not want too much noise at night. There is no in-house entertainment open to the public.
All-in-all, good affordable accommodation in a very good location, I would highly recommend.

First Class Service

Recently returned from a week's break to Barbados staying at the Pirates Inn and I thought it was EXCELLENT.
To give the review some context, I have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels from none to 5 star and (in my girlfriend's opinion) have quite high standards when it comes to hotel accommodation.

On our way to Barbados on the plane my girlfriend was explaining the hotel to me (this was her second time) and she said - "I hope you won't be disappointed as it's very basic". Whilst partly true this does not do the place justice AT ALL. Anyone that books this property knows what it is - a small privately run self catering hotel aimed at the budget conscious traveller. As such it delivers in every way:

the rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained (daily) the pool area is clean and ample for the number of guests the bar again is small but ample for the guests the location is excellent - 10 minutes by car to Bridgetown, 5 minutes by car to St Lawrence Gap (nightlife) and a 5 minute walk to a postcard setting beach.

What makes this hotel stand out though is the FIRST CLASS service - everyone from the cleaners to the desk staff are warm, friendly and eager to help with any query - even the night porters are a great laugh (cheers Rodney - you're a star!).

In addition there's a steady stream of locals who frequent the bar due to it's slightly off the track location and friendly bar staff (Cheers Trev and Tony!).

I could go on and on about Barbados and the bajan people but I am sure you have read that elsewhere (or will!).

In summary, if you're looking for a relatively low cost hotel with great facilities and excellent service then look no further!

Home away from home

Stayed last year and will stay there again this year.........close to everything........If you're looking for five star luxury.......stay elsewhere.... if you're looking for a three and a half star hotel......with five star staff, location and friendliness.......then this is the place for you." -

Breakfast at the bar!

"We have had two holidays where we stayed at the pirates inn, we could not fault anything with the hotel very clean rooms brilliant showers and even though you have a decent kitchen i would recommend going to the bar for breakfast for toast and oj starts you off for a day of relaxing by the pool watch out for the monkeys behind the hotel in the trees. have fun!

A good stay

Pirate's Inn is the most friendly, clean & relaxed apartment/hotel you could wish to stay at. The owner and all her staff could not be nicer. We have spent a few holidays at Pirate's and will continue to return there whenever we visit Barbados in the future. Many thanks and Good Luck to all of you. P-J.

The best holiday of our lives

I stayed for 2 week's with my friend, and we had the best holiday of our lives, the hotel is clean and tidy and the pool is very nice,, not to big and small enough to have to chat with the other holiday maker's. The rooms are quite large and the bathroom is well equiped with shower and loo and mirror. Plenty of room for everything. The kitchen is quite well equiped to, kettle, cup's and everything else you will need, the people at the hotel are freindly and very helpful, the hotel is within easy reach of everything so there is nothing that you will miss on this holiday. We had a ball and im sure that you will...."

Thanks.

"Thank you to all the staff at the Pirates Inn. We were made to feel very welcome and I would recommend the Pirates to my friends who also visit Barbados on a regular basis like ourselves. The atmosphere was warm comfortable and friendly. Keep up the good work!" -

We'll be back!

Myself and my wife spent our honeymoon at the Pirates Inn almost 9 years ago. To this day i will never forget the time my wife and I had there. To say it left a lsting impression on us is and understatement. The staff were fantastic and made us feel at home from day 1. This was the fisrt holiday abroad for us and was a destination that we had to make ever ince the record by Typically Tropical (Barbados). If EVER you visit Barbados then please, please give this hotel a chance - I can assure you that you won't regret it. Talk about a home from home - the food was great (served almost all day) the drinks were great, the staff were great. What more could you ask.
9 years later and we are still talking about it.

It took a long time for us to save up for that honeymoon - and it will take us a while for us to save to go back - but go back we will - even if they are pushing us in our weelchairs. Try it - I assure you won't regret it.

Thanks everyone at the Pirates in - especially Pam and Tony."

Thanks Again Renee!

"My husband and myself have just spent 2 weeks at The Pirate's Inn. What can I say? It was so homely and friendly that I am sure that we will be back in 2007! A big thank you to Renee and her crew who made our holiday the best ever!"

Thanks Pirates Inn!

"We didn't get to see you on the day we checked out, but we wanted to say thank you for the wonderful stay we had at Pirate's Inn. We loved the room and it was just ideal for that length of stay. I can't find any fault with any of the amenities, and the kitchen had everything one could possibly use.
I really don't know where some of those people who gave moderate reviews of the place had stayed, because clearly it was not the same Pirate's Inn we had stayed in! We also loved how friendly all the staff members were (both in the hotel and if we met up with them outside).

So, thank you for the wonderful stay and we will definitely recommend Pirate's Inn to anyone who is looking for accomodation in Barbados. :)"

Little Gem

June 2006 was our eighth trip to Barbados and our third time at Pirates Inn. We wish we had discovered this little gem earlier. Both my husband and i love this place. It is clean, tidy and the rooms are large and tastefully decorated. The pool area is lovely a real sun trap but with plenty of shade if you prefer. The staff are efficient and very friendly and we are treated like family when we return. It is close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, but yet in a quiet area. Oh and we have booked already for November 2007.

Small hotel giving that personal touch

Barbados is already an island in Paradise, but to make the holiday even better, the hotel was more than perfect. A small hotel giving that personal touch. Beautiful and spacious rooms, and the situation means access to the beach and bars/restaurants/shops very easy.
The staff are very freindly and helpfull, so thank you Renee. You made our holiday that much better, shame we had to leave a day early though.

Great Birthday

"My (second) visit to the Pirates Inn was for a week in January 2007 (to celebrate my birthday). Within two hours of arriving I had arousing "Happy Birthday" sung for me by new friends at the pool bar. Friendly, convenient, clean, comfortable and affordable. Thanks!"

Wonderful 9 days in Barbados

In January 2007 we spent 9 days in Barbados at the Pirate’s Inn in Hastings, Christ Church. The hospitality shown by everyone at the inn was wonderful and our trip to Barbados was truly enjoyable, thanks to Renée and her staff who seemed to go out of their way to make our time in Barbados a special treat. We were most impressed by their pleasant smiles and warm friendship.

Pirate’s Inn is in an ideal location close to beaches, (Accra Beach), good restaurants, nightlife (St. Lawrence Gap), grocery store, bank and public transportation (to Oistin – for the famous Friday night fish fry - or to Bridgetown or Speightstown). The rooms were clean – one of the maids would leave a native flower when she was done cleaning - and comfortable, the pool immaculate, the bar inexpensive – they make a great rum punch. The Inn is just off Hastings Main Road in a quiet location and very secure – the only security breach was a green monkey that would make a cameo on the rooftop of the inn in the morning.

Xmas and New Year

Myself and my boyfriends family stayed at the Pirates Inn over Xmas and New Year and could not of had a better time.
This was my third time staying at these apartments but the people I was with had never been before, but were more then impressed with everything.
The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms are spacious.
The pool area is lovely for those whom enjoy the sun and those who like the shade.
The food served at the bar is fantastic value for money, we recommend the chicken or the steak.
All the staff were so friendly and so helpful and we could not of asked for better holiday!
The hotel location is great, close to shops, bars, restaurants either within walking distance or a very short cab ride.
We would highly recommend the Pirates Inn, and will definitely be going back to stay again!

our honeymoon

My husband and I chose the Pirate's Inn for our honeymoon because of it's location and reviews. This was my fourth trip to Barbados and his first outside of Canada. Having stayed at larger resorts in Barbados including Casuarina and Asta and not finding them worth their money, I decided to try something a little different.

We were both really impressed with the Pirate's Inn due to its incredibly friendly and helpful staff and it's extremely clean facilities. Only a few minutes walk from the main road where there are bus stops to Bridgetown for shopping, several banks, a convenience store and numerous restaurants. It really is a convenient location close to everything but off the main road so you avoid the noise and disturbances.

Our room had a king size bed and full kitchen including anything you could need. We made a trip to the grocery store and saved a few bucks by eating in our room for breakfast. It's a 15 minute walk to the supermarket and a 20 minute walk to the St. Lawrence Gap where you can experience the nightlife if that's what you're into.

We spent many days sunning by the pool on the lounge chairs
(there were always some available). Our room was on the main floor and opened up to the pool which was another great thing. We went swimming everyday and would recommend hanging out by the pool to anyone who finds the beach a little too busy. We can't say enough about the staff who went out of their way whenever we needed anything or asked for directions. There was never a moment in which we didn't feel safe and secure. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we couldn't even find a speck of dirt left behind. Anyone who says otherwise must be confused about where they stayed. Kudos to Renee and her team because I'm sure we'll be coming back every year from now on.
